Volunteering - Victoria
Are you looking to make a difference in your local community?
We are a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to assisting the most vulnerable within our communities, and we are looking for people like you to join us in our ‘Good Works’.
St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria’s (Vinnies Victoria) 12,000+ committed team of volunteers assist people around the state through Good Works such as:
- Vinnies Soup Vans
- Home visitation also called (Conference Membership)
- Vinnies Retail Shops
- Education programs
- Welfare Call Centre
- Bushfire Call Centre
- No Interest Home Loans
- Home Assist
- Transport and Distribution Centre
We simply couldn't provide these services without our volunteers and the huge contributions they make to provide critical support in their local communities.
Why volunteer with Vinnies Victoria?
Our volunteers come from all walks of life and work together to bring hope and support to more than 300,000 Victorians each year. You will be working toward a common purpose with a respected global not-for-profit organisation and with like-minded individuals.
Please register your interest
For now, our critical services will remain true to the Society's mission, while also keeping the health and wellbeing of our members, volunteers and employees top of mind.
- Our Welfare Call Centres are open.
- Our Conferences are making visits to deliver food and other assistance.
- Our Vinnies Soup Vans are out in the evenings delivering food parcels.
- Our Vinnies Shops are open where they are still able.
- Our Vinnies NILS (No Interest Loans Scheme) team are still taking calls.
- Our Bushfire Assistance service continues to help people impacted by Victoria's recent fires.
Yes, our services are a little different at the moment but we are still providing assistance to people and communities in need, just as we have throughout our long history in Victoria.
We know that once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, we will need your help more than ever across other areas of Good Works. We encourage anyone interested in volunteering to register to volunteer now or for the future.
Once we receive your application, we will be in contact with you within 48 hours.
