Palm Sunday rally Canberra
Thousands of people joined peaceful Palm Sunday rallies around Australia on 29 March 2026 in solidarity with refugees and people seeking asylum, and to demand an end to the federal government's inhumane offshore processing and resettlement regime.
The Society is one of at least nine Catholic submissions to the Senate Inquiry into offshore processing and resettlement arrangements, led by the Catholic Alliance for People Seeking Asylum.
Child Poverty in Australia Report
Australia is on track to reach 1 million children living in poverty, with a 33% increase in just the four years.
That's another 237,000 Australian children missing out on meals or living in crowded housing or homeless.
