Wandjoo Bidi
Wandjoo Bidi operates a Supportive Landlord Model. We will:
- Provide safe, secure and stable accommodation
- Provide flexible tenancy management
- Work in a connected way with others to support the desired outcomes
- Support people with complex needs to maintain their accommodation tenancies
- Build strong partnerships with referral agencies and tenant supports.
On-site supports include:
- Supporting tenants to encourage the development and/or increase their skills and build their capacity for independent living.
- Supporting and advocating for tenants when issues arise in the tenancy and with case managers and other specialist services, using Housing First principles.
- Supporting tenants to manage shared living spaces and residency dynamics in a congregated living setting through a trauma informed approach in conjunction with therapeutic intervention crisis techniques.
- Actively assisting tenants to engage with other support services and advocating for Tenants where required.
- Supporting the assessment and triage process for the service.
- Providing emotional and psychological support to tenants when required.
- Assisting in the upkeep of the site to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the tenants.
