Charitable gifts in the form of a bequest are one of the most valued and important sources of funding for the St Vincent de Paul Society in Western Australia, and we sincerely thank you for considering leaving a life changing gift in your will.
Sadly, the demand for our services continues to grow. Thanks to the generous support of people like you we are able to carry out our core work of emergency relief and specialist programs and services, all while continuing to advocate for a more just and compassionate society.
When you leave a bequest to Vinnies, you are ensuring that we will be able to meet the needs of people in WA now, and into the future.
Vinnies WA have recently partnered with Safewill, Australia’s leading online Will writing platform. Approximately 50% of Australian’s currently do not have a valid will, so through a guided processed, Safewill has made this an easy and affordable task.
Safewill’s Customer Care team is available seven days a week should you have any questions - they can even help you write your Will over the phone! Plus, every Will is reviewed by their team to ensure that it has been filled out correctly.
Vinnies WA is proud to partner with several reputable solicitors in Western Australia who are happy to provide simple wills free of charge to anyone who is considering a gift to Vinnies in their will. The solicitors are conveniently located throughout the Perth metropolitan area, and if you are unable to travel there are options for a solicitor to meet you in the comfort of your home.
For more information about the Honorary Solicitor Service or to be connected to a solicitor near you, please contact Natasha Prins on 08 6323 7535 or email bequests@svdpwa.org.au.
Many families encourage guests to donate to Vinnies WA in lieu of flowers at a funeral. We have special in-memory donation envelopes that can be displayed at the service, or you can include a message within the funeral notice. To request donation envelopes or for other enquiries regarding in-memory donations, please call our Planned Giving Coordinator Natasha Prins.
You can create a personal tribute page and invite friends and family to make an online donation. They also have the opportunity to leave a personal message and the page can be shared among their networks and social media platforms.
You can make an in-memorial donation on our website, and can choose to include the deceased’s name and their next of kin if you wish to have your in-memory donation acknowledged. Please note we do not disclose the donation amount in the acknowledgement.
A symbolic way to remember a deceased friend or family member is to make regular donations to mark special days like their birthday, anniversary or other special event in their life.
