Danny was appointed as Commissioner of the Fair Work Commission in 2010. Prior to that he was the Acting Executive Director, Finance and Corporate Division at the Department of Health and the Chief of Staff to the WA Attorney General; Minister for Health; Electoral Affairs. Danny has a Masters of Industrial Relations and a Bachelor of Arts from UWA. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Australian Mutuals Institute. Danny has a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance and is an Associate of the Governance Institute of Australia and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
In 2017, Danny began his own consultancy firm and in 2020 he became a WA Police Force approved license Investigator and Inquiry Agent. His clients have ranged from individuals to local and State governments and international companies.
Danny was appointed Vice President of St Vincent de Paul Society WA in 2022 and State President in 2024.
When not working in his consultancy, Danny is involved with two NFP disability organisations as well as St Vincent de Paul WA. Danny's wife, three children and seven grandchildren make sure his remaining time is not wasted.
Ann was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Vinnies WA in August 2025, having previously held the position of Executive Manager, Business Services since 2018.
With over 35 years’ experience in finance and senior leadership, Ann has held key management roles across the non-profit sector, including eight years at Cancer Council WA. Her expertise lies in strategic planning, organisational development, and driving positive impact through effective governance and advocacy.
Raised in a small village in Ireland, Ann developed a deep appreciation for the supportive power of community from a young age. That early understanding has shaped a lifelong commitment to supporting those facing adversity with not only material assistance but also with compassion and hope for the future.
As CEO, Ann brings a strong sense of purpose, combining financial acumen with a passion for social justice.
She is focused on leading Vinnies WA into its next chapter by fostering innovation, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring the organisation builds on its mission and proud history to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable Western Australians.
A number of the members of State Council are elected by their peers in each of the regional Conferences in WA. State Council members are elected for a four-year term with elections held when terms expire or when a vacancy occurs.
The State President appoints Vice Presidents and Appointed Officers to complement the skills and experience of the elected State Council members, and a number of Advisory Committees support the State Council in carrying out its responsibilities and functions.
