Spring 2026
The St Vincent de Paul Society operates Drop-In Centres across Australia, providing welcoming community spaces where people can access practical support, connection and a safe place to spend time.
These centres offer shower facilities, simple meals, hot drinks, ready-to-heat meals and referrals to other local services, as well as opportunities to relax, watch TV, play games or just connect with others in a supportive environment.
During National Homelessness Week, 3-9 August, the Society opened a new Vinnies Drop-In Centre in the NSW Hilltops town of Young, operated by St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn.
The centre was officially launched on Thursday 6 August, 11am–1pm, with a free community event where locals toured the space, enjoyed a barbecue lunch and learned more about the support available.
Thanks to generous donations, the Society is able to keep our doors open, to offer practical care, and to create a place where everyone is welcomed with dignity and respect.
