Vinnies VIC: Everything we do is closely connected to social justice and advocating for people who are marginalised and disadvantaged in our community.

Vinnies VIC: The cost of living crisis has impacted the housing market, rental availability and affordability. Where private rental properties are available, rents are increasing to such an extent that many can no longer afford these and must look for alternative solutions. The impact of increased costs across any essential services is always disproportionately felt by the lowest income recipients.

Education Costs 2025

Vinnies VIC: Each year, we are often asked for assistance with regard to Back to School costs. While we are able to assist with expenses in this area, we are always conscious of the child and the impact on them. Imagine not being able to join an excursion or have the correct uniforms, stationery or IT items needed.

Asylum Seekers & Refugees

Vinnies VIC: The St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria assists asylum seekers and refugees to re-establish themselves in a new country but providing support in various ways including advocating on their behalf as well as providing support to find housing plus furniture and fittings.

Vinnies VIC: Imagine having to choose between which bill to pay each month. For the people we assist this is a reality and often utility bills such as electricity, gas and water are the ones that people delay paying. The St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria provides support and information to help people facing these issues.
