Wesfarmers coat drive brings warmth to people in need
Thanks to the generosity of the Wesfarmers team, 77 winter coats have been donated to Vinnies which will be distributed to West Australians doing it tough.
Winter is often the most difficult time of year for people experiencing homelessness or hardship, with many either without a safe place to stay or forced to choose between putting food on the table or turning on their heating.
The team at Wesfarmers have recognised the difficulty that comes with the colder months, and have rallied together to collect warm winter clothing for people in need.
Led by Wesfarmers' Ingrid Foster and Sally Osei, the winter coat drive initiative saw staff collect 77 coats, jackets and jumpers which were donated to Vinnies and will be distributed to people in need through the Emergency Relief and Homelessness Services.
Vinnies WA Philanthropy, Grants and PAFs Lead Yvette Clegg gratefully collected the generous donation on behalf of Vinnies.
A big thank you to the Wesfarmers staff for their support and for bringing warmth to vulnerable West Australians this winter.
