Vinnies WA: The Hon. Minister Sabine Winton announced today that the State Government will be donating $500,000 to support the Vinnies WA Annual Christmas Appeal.

State Government Donates $500,000 to Vinnies WA

This much-needed funding will go towards helping struggling families and vulnerable West Australians during the festive season.
"We are incredibly grateful for this generous donation and the continued support of the State Government as Vinnies WA experiences increasing demand in the lead-up to the Christmas period and into 2025. This donation will help Vinnies WA to provide additional support for West Australians doing it tough this Christmas and in 2025 by providing food hampers, provision of critical medication, bill relief, and rent relief." - Andrew York - Executive Manager, Community Engagement Services, Vinnies WA
As many in the community continue to struggle financially, the demand for assistance has risen sharply, with some families turning to Vinnies for support for the first time. The Cook Government’s generous donation will help the Society meet this growing need, providing a much-needed lifeline to those facing tough circumstances.
This donation to Vinnies WA was announced as part of a $1.5m package to charities who work to help the vulnerable at this time of year.
