This month, Vinnies WA was honoured to welcome WA Senator Slade Brockman for a tour of our Distribution Centre in Canning Vale.

In August, Senator Brockman put a call out for donations of good-quality winter coats, jackets and throws, with the intention of delivering them to organisations that support people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness, housing stress or financial hardship.

The Senator's team reached out to Vinnies and offered to personally deliver the winter coat collection to Ozanam House.

During Senator Brockman's visit, Vinnies WA CEO Ann Curran and Manager of Distribution Centre Operations Rob Fell gave him a personal tour of the Distribution Centre, where tonnes of donated goods are sorted and distributed to our retail shops and to people in need through our Emergency Relief Assistance and Support program.

Senator Brockman was also provided an insight inro what we do in the homelessness space, and was eager to learn more about how he can support the great work that we do for vulnerable West Australians.

Vinnies WA is grateful for Senator Brockman's support and for recognising the incredible work that has been done to support people in need for the past 160 years.
