Our Impact: How Carole* went from homeless to housed

After she was evicted from her rental property, Carole* found herself rough sleeping for nearly four months after struggling to find a place to stay.

The situation was dire for Carole, whose frail health meant she needed immediate accommodation to get her off the streets.

Following a referral from Ruah, Carole got a call from Wandjoo Bidi with some welcome news – there was a room available.

Thanks to the team at Wandjoo Bidi, Carole was provided a place to stay where she feels welcome and safe.

“I don’t know how I would have survived if I had stayed out there any longer,” Carole said.

“I am so thankful that I am at Wandjoo Bidi. I feel safe here.”
