New Member videos showcase the people behind Emergency Relief support
Vinnies WA has launched a new video series that showcases the dedicated Members who are helping change lives in communities across WA.
Now live on the Vinnies WA YouTube channel, the ‘Become a Member’ campaign highlights the people behind our Emergency Relief services and community programs, while inviting more West Australians to join the St Vincent de Paul Society WA as Members.
The five locally-produced videos give viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the Society's grassroots work, featuring Members from the South West, Midland, Kelmscott, Perth Cathedral and Joondalup.
Through authentic stories and real-life experiences, the videos reveal the many ways Members support people experiencing hardship, from providing practical assistance and companionship through home visits, to running a weekly community kitchen and supporting busy support centres.
- Busselton locals Maria and Trevor, who share how the local support centre provides a much-needed lifeline for people in the South West area. Watch here.
- Cath and Judith from Midland, offering a behind-the-scenes look at home visits and Emergency Relief. Watch here.
- Bridget and Alison in action at the weekly Kelmscott Community Kitchen demonstrating the power of community connection. Watch here.

The Member campaign comes at a time when demand for support continues to grow across WA, reinforcing the vital role Members play in helping Vinnies respond to people facing financial hardship, housing insecurity and social isolation.
Whether you're a young professional, retiree, student, parent or someone simply looking to give back, becoming a Member offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in your local community while building lasting connections with others who share a passion for helping people.
