Vinnies ‘declutter kit’ is making donating easier than ever in three simple steps.

1. Simply fill the donation bag provided in your declutter kit with quality items,
2. Choose your preferred date and time for pick up, and
3. Couriers Please will pick it up from your doorstep!

 

What to give? 

• We are asking for quality items we can sell in our stores to raise money for those in need
• The donation bag inside the declutter kit is not suitable for breakable or electrical items
• When decluttering, please stick to items in a wardrobe, bookshelf or linen cupboard
• Remember, if it’s ready to wear or use, it’s ready to donate

Why give?

When you give, your donations are sold in-store raising funds to help people in your community put food on the table, pay essential bills and find a safe place to sleep

FAQ's

How do I arrange pick up of my items?

When your donations are good to go, scan the QR code on the flyer in the declutter kit to select your preferred pick up date and time

How does the pick up work?

• Attach the booking ‘shipping label’ to the donation bag provided in your declutter kit
• Leave the declutter kit bag in a visible and accessible place at your pick up address, on your selected pick up day.

Can I return the bag to store myself?

Please use the home pick up option as these items will go direct to our sorting warehouses and free up our stores during a busy time of year

How much can I give?

You can give up to 10kg of items in the donation bag contained in your declutter kit. We estimated that’s approximately 25-30 pieces of clothing!

How many bags can I give?

For home pick up, we can only take 1 x 10kg bag of donations from your doorstep but please bring your other donations into your local Vinnies QLD store during opening hours. Please note, our pick up partner Couriers Please will only pick up the Vinnies donation bag from the declutter kit provided that has a booking ‘shipping label’ attached

What areas does home pick up apply?

Home pick-up is available in the areas surrounding participating Vinnies QLD stores that Declutter Kits are currently available in, while stocks last. Over time, we hope to service more regions with this program

When does the home pick up service end?

The declutter kit pick up service officially ends 28/01/24 but you can donate to Vinnies any time! Don’t wait to declutter, use our home pick up service today - giving good feels good.
