The bag is back: Vinnies' $10 Fill-a-Bag Sale returns to Queensland

St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland is inviting shoppers across the state to grab a bag and join the hunt for pre-loved treasures, with its popular $10 Fill-a-Bag Sale returning to select Vinnies stores on Saturday 12 September.

For just $10, savvy shoppers can fill a bag full of pre-loved clothing and other unique finds, with funds raised going towards supporting local communities.

Funds raised through Vinnies stores help the St Vincent de Paul Society deliver vital services to Queenslanders experiencing hardship, including food assistance, clothing, housing support, emergency relief, and other practical help.

At a time when cost-of-living pressures continue to affect an increasing number of households across the state, the Society has seen nearly a 25 per cent increase in demand over the last 12 months, with more Queenslanders contacting the organisation for assistance.

St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland General Manager of Operations Drew Eide said the sale has become one of the most anticipated events on the Vinnies calendar.

“With cost of living on the rise, more and more Queenslanders are looking for ways to get better value out of what they spend,” he said.

“Walking home with a bag full of new outfits, books, toys, or other items for less than the cost of two cups of coffee is one way to get great bang for your buck.

"There's a real sense of excitement as shoppers search the racks for hidden treasures and see just how much they can fit into one bag.

"At a time when many households are looking for ways to save money, the sale offers an affordable and sustainable way to shop while also supporting Vinnies to make a real and positive difference to people doing it tough."

Shoppers are encouraged to visit Vinnies on Saturday 12 September to bag a bargain. Stock varies by location.
