Gold Coast's Biggest Vinnies comes to Pimpama

Op-shop lovers and second-hand treasure hunters, mark your calendars – the Gold Coast’s biggest Vinnies Shop officially opens its doors this weekend at Pimpama.

The new 800sqm Vinnies site at Home Focus on Nexus Drive is set to be a win-win for the northern Gold Coast community, according to Retail Operations Manager Kelly Hose.

“We’re so excited to bring the Vinnies shopping experience to Pimpama and to residents of the northern Gold Coast,” she said.

“Op-shops have an important part to play in our communities.

“At Vinnies, our donations come from the local community, our volunteers are from the local community and, best of all, the funds we raise go back to supporting the local community.

“That’s why we refer to the Vinnies as the home of ‘Feel Good Finds’ – because you can feel good that your purchase is helping to make a difference.

“We’re especially looking forward to the Pimpama Vinnies opening, not just because it’s the biggest Vinnies on the Gold Coast, but it’s also a region we’ve been wanting to open in for quite some time.”

Every customer at the Vinnies Pimpama grand opening on Saturday, 30 May will receive a $10 voucher, with customers spending $20 or more in-store going into the draw to win a TV.

The Pimpama Vinnies is also looking for locals to volunteer, with just a few hours a week being all it takes to support the local community.

“It’s no secret that there are many doing it tough with rising costs of living and housing, so volunteering is one way to make a positive difference in a way that is fun and social,” Kelly said.

The new Vinnies Pimpama can be found at 75 Nexus Drive and will be open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm (10am – 4pm on Sundays).
