Current volunteer opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to form new friendships, connect with others who share common interests and remain active within the community.

In many instances the important work of the society would not be possible without our volunteers. They enable services to be delivered, centres to remain open, and warehouses to function.

  • Retail assistant

We are always looking for people to help in our stores and there are many ways in which you can help – sorting donations, serving customers, or getting items ready for display.

  • Maintenance officer

Your carpentry skills, your plumbing skills or simply your muscle and enthusiasm will make a huge difference to the effective delivery of our services.

  • Warehouse assistant

Our warehouse is a busy and exciting place. You never know what will come through the door - special treasures, unique items and quirky things. Your organisational skills will be put to good use.

  • Emergency Relief officer

You can use your skills and advocate for those in need by providing immediate support, listening ear or referrals to specialist services.

  • Support worker

You can serve the poor in many ways. You may help to prepare or serve their meals, do their laundry or manage an art class.
