Vinnies Warehouses fuel our most active fundraising front - Our Retail Stores! Vinnies Warehouse Volunteers are crucial to supporting Vinnies Retail operations as such our Community Programs and Services that support our Territory. 
Our Warehouse may be the perfect location for a volunteer who is less interested in a customer facing role, but would still like to contribute to our major fundraising and environmental efforts.

Volunteering with Vinnies is a rich and rewarding experience. Our volunteers donate their time to make a real difference in the lives of others.
The St Vincent de Paul Society NT has been supporting Territorians since 1949. We offer support services including Ozanam House homeless day centre, emergency relief, community housing and aged care. Our network of Vinnies Shops re-sell quality donated items to fund our charity works. We are supported by generous volunteers, conference members and donations.  

Vinnies is looking for people who...
<ul>
<li>Have an interest in our community.</li>
<li>Are keen to make friends and work together under the direction of a Store and/or Warehouse Manager. </li>
<li>Can give 3 hours per week/ fortnight or month 'up to' as many hours as you wish.</li>
<li>Have availability Monday to Saturday (Times and Days vary from location to location).</li>
</ul>

<h3>The Role:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Training and Support provided by Store and/or Warehouse Manager. </li>
<li>100% discretionary - you choose your own hours!</li>
<li>Accept and sort donations.</li>
<li>Quality control.</li>
<li>Maintain stock levels.</li>
<li>Test and Tag.</li>
<li>Operate forklift.</li>
<li>Drive delivery vehicles.</li>
</ul>

<h3>Location:</h3>
Coconut Grove (Warehouse and Distribution Centre) Monday to Friday 
Vinnies Warehouse feeds all our Vinnies Retail Stores from Coolalinga to Darwin City. This location is the NT's biggest operation of collecting, sorting and distributing donations, plus its fully air-conditioned. This is Not-a-Store, (we do not allow customers) we do greet donors on arrival with their generous donations. This location supports Vinnies Emergency Relief Program through the collection and distribution of furniture donations to families in need.

<h3>Larger Item Donation Locations:</h3>
These locations are not warehouses, however feature the capacity to collect and sort a large number of donations. They offer volunteers work in non-customer facing roles, connecting with other volunteers' and greeting donors on arrival with their generous donations. 
Alice Springs (Store) Monday to Saturday 
Alice Springs Warehouse is connected to our Alice Springs Vinnies Retail Store. With temperature control and huge area to work in, it's a great place to start your retail journey. 
Palmerston (Store) Monday to Saturday 
Palmerston Warehouse is collected to our Palmerston Vinnies Retail Store. The area is fully air conditioned, supporting our volunteers who prefer a less customer facing role. 

<h3>Personal Protective Equipment / Clothing and Uniforms:</h3>
Vinnies ask all Volunteers wear:

<li>Enclosed shoes.</li>
<li>Casual, conformable and appropriate clothing for the role above.</li>
<li>Uniforms are not provided.</li>
