<p>Be at the front line of our Community Services. Vinnies Visitation Volunteers are usually affiliated with our Conferences; however, you do not need to be a Vinnies Member to participate in home Visitations. Visit people in need of connection in their home, in hospital or assist with prison visits. </p>

Vinnies Visitation Volunteers

Volunteering with Vinnies is a rich and rewarding experience. Our volunteers donate their time to make a real difference in the lives of others.
The St Vincent de Paul Society NT has been supporting Territorians since 1949. We offer support services including Ozanam House homeless day centre, emergency relief, community housing and aged care. Our network of Vinnies Shops re-sell quality donated items to fund our charity works. We are supported by generous volunteers, conference members and donations.  

Vinnies Home Visitation Volunteers

<h3><strong>Vinnies is looking for people who...</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Have an interest in our community.</li>
<li>Can handle difficult conversations and provide meaningful support and understanding.</li>
<li>Work as a team under the direction of an experienced Home Visitation Member or Volunteer.</li>
<li>Are willing to travel with as a team to a Companions home to deliver a Home Visitation. </li>
<li>Can give as many hours as you wish to both the visitation and reflection as per Vinnies NT Visitation Guide.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>The Role:</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Work with a mentor and receive training to become a Home Visitation Volunteer.</li>
<li>Training and Support provided by St Vincent de Paul Society experienced Home Visitation Members or Volunteers.  </li>
<li>Visit Companions and support compassionate conversation and connection. </li>
<li>Learn and understand Vinnies Services and referrals to other services. </li>
<li>Handle private and confidential information and data for reflection.</li>
<li>100% discretionary - need a break, we will support you.</li>
</ul>

<p>Casuarina, Holy Spirit Conference </p>
<p>Darwin City, St Mary's Conference</p>
<p>Karama, Holy Family Conference</p>
<p>Parap, St Paul's Conference  </p>
<h3><strong>Personal Protective Equipment / Clothing and Uniforms:</strong></h3>
<p>Vinnies ask all Volunteers wear:</p>
<ul>
<li>Enclosed shoes.</li>
<li>Casual, conformable and appropriate clothing for the role above.</li>
<li>Uniforms are not provided.</li>
<li>You will receive a St Vincent de Paul Society Name Badge. </li>
