It’s Homelessness Week, and at Vinnies WA we couldn’t be prouder of the work our specialist homelessness services do.

We operate Tom Fisher House, which provides intensive intervention services for adults, and two Passages Youth Engagement Hubs – one in Perth, the other in Mandurah - which provide services to young people. Those are run as a joint venture with the Rotary Club of Perth and Mandurah.

To mark Homelessness Week, there’s a whole range of things happening.

Passages Peel is engaging in a community event with other support services in the area. Passages Perth is hosting activities like free haircuts and a healthy eating workshop.

The hub will also feature in Shelter WA’s Lived Experience Walking Tours, where people with lived experience of homelessness will walk with attendees through the streets of Perth, sharing their insights on sleeping rough and what support they needed to survive and to get off the streets and into a home.
