Vinnies VIC: Our No Interest Loan Scheme is supported by dedicated volunteers, but with the cost-of-living affecting so many Victorians we are needing more support now to help with the rising demand.

Volunteering - Vinnies NILS

Vinnies NILS

<h4>As a Vinnies NILS volunteer you will:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Receive hands on training by Good Shepherd Microfinance</li>
<li>Respond to enquiries by phone or email</li>
<li>Send out loan application packs to prospective borrowers via mail or email</li>
<li>Collecting and checking loan application documents</li>
<li>Entering information into the specialised NILS software<br><br></li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span class="highlight-block">All applicants must be 18 years and older, and be able to commit just a couple of hours a week for six months. Vinnies NILS can support student placements from TAFE and universities.</span></strong></p>
<p>To become a volunteer, the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria requires <strong>Police Checks </strong>and <strong>Working with Children Checks </strong>to be done.</p>
