Vinnies Soup Vans

Our Vinnies Soup Vans are located in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.

The service is resourced in the main by volunteers aged 18+ who manage the daily food preparation, nightly operations and delivery of food to people seeking assistance.

Want to become a volunteer?

All soup van volunteers must be 18 years or older and able to commit to regular shifts, and the hours and days that you work can be flexible, depending upon your availability.

On occasion we are also able to support student placements from TAFE or universities, depending on location, hours and specific experience required, as well as access to a qualified supervisor.

To become a volunteer with the Vinnies Soup Vans, St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria requires:

  • Police Checks
  • Working with Children Checks and
  • Food Handling Certificate (once completed send relevant documentation to volunteer@svdp-vic.org.au)
