Park Lodge

Located at Stuart Park, we offer housing for single men across two buildings on a large garden block. Park Lodge accommodates 20 tenants.

The housing comprises a single freshly painted, furnished room with linen and a small fridge.

In addition, there is a two story building with communal facilities. On the top floor there is a large, well equipped kitchen, spacious, light filled common dining and lounge area, and a library and games corner.

The dining and lounge area is surrounded by a balcony with a barbeque and outdoor chairs.

Downstairs is a common laundry with washing machines and cleaning equipment. There is also ample parking on site and garden areas.

Living at Park Lodge

The layout of our housing, with its central communal building providing a bright, airy recreational space between the two accommodation buildings, creates a sense of community while living at Park Lodge.

To develop the skills and experience of sharing a home and being a good neighbour, Park Lodge residents participate in a weekly roster for the cleaning of the communal areas.

All our tenants at Park Lodge sign a tenancy agreement and are asked to abide by the responsibilities and rights outlined in the agreement to maintain their tenancy.

Please remember the basics for living in our housing - pay your rent on time, respect the quiet enjoyment of those living around you and do not cause damage to the property.

More than just a roof

Our experience working with people in need of housing has taught us that having a stable place to live is an important first step. But it is just the first step.

Having support from community networks and specialist support agencies can make all the difference to how well you live in your new place.

While we do not provide case management at Park Lodge, our team actively offer residents information, referrals and opportunities to get involved and develop skills for transitioning into longer term accommodation or private rental housing.

Our team can work with you to identify any challenges and suggest a way forward to tackling some of these issues. We can link you to agencies to help you develop the skills to sustain a safe and stable living environment. We can assist you with training for job readiness and generally developing confidence in those day to day skills that help you to look after your property and yourself. Household skills such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, dealing with neighbours and understanding tenancy agreements.

We can also facilitate referrals to specialist support agencies who can assist you with health, mental health, legal or financial issues, to name a few.
