St Vincent de Paul Society (affectionately known by Australians as Vinnies) have a proud history of hosting socially minded programs and services that help people in need.

1581
St Vincent de Paul born in France.
1833
St Vincent de Paul Society founded by Frederic Ozanam in Paris.
1854
First Australian Conference founded in Victoria.
1949
First Conference founded in Northern Territory: St Mary Star of the Sea Darwin.
1967
First Northern Territory Centre of Charity opens in Stuart Park.
1968
First regional Centre of Charity established in Alice Springs.
1974
Ozanam House day centre established in Darwin.
1975
Second regional Centre of Charity established in Tennant Creek
1983
Third regional Centre of Charity established in Katherine.
1984
Bakhita Centre housing for single men established in Coconut Grove.
1987
Centre of Charity opens in Palmerston.
1988
First regional Housing Centre established in Katherine: Ormonde House.
2000
Mobile Food Service commenced -Darwin
2011
Ted Collins Village housing for families established in Darwin.
2016
Centre of Charity opens in Darwin CBD.
2017
Centres of Charity open in Coolalinga & Fannie Bay.
2018
Centre of Charity opens alongside New Head Office established in Casuarina.
2019
Centre of Charity opens in Winnellie.
2020
Bakhita Centre additional housing opens for single females.
2024
Ozanam House Homelessness Hub moved to temporary site - Coconut Grove
