Energy costs are rising, and many vulnerable households are struggling to keep up. As Australia continues moving towards net zero, there is a real risk that those already facing hardship will be left behind. 

This webinar, hosted by the St Vincent de Paul Society National Council, will feature energy expert Gavin Dufty, National Director of Energy Policy and Research at the Society, in conversation with Dr Margaret Gearon, Chair of the National Council Social Justice Advisory Committee. Drawing on the Society’s latest policy work, the discussion will examine key issues including energy affordability, equity in access to new technologies, and the need for targeted support for vulnerable households.
