Christmas hampers hit the inner-city streets

Over 900 hampers and 220 presents were prepared by our 40 amazing volunteers at the Inner-City Soup Van Hub.

Christmas comes to our Inner-City Soup Van Hub as all hands were on deck to sort and wrap the donated items.

Not only that, the team raised an incredible $12,600, which went towards purchasing additional items that were needed.

Our 40 amazing volunteers joined forces to pack over 900 hampers, including essentials like towels and special Christmas treats. They also prepared 220 presents for children, as well as teenagers—a demographic that can often be overlooked and challenging to shop for.

Deliveries of the hampers kicked off last week and will continue this week for mobile pantry recipients.

Night runs for the soup van are scheduled Thursday to Saturday, with special Christmas Eve deliveries for Richmond's rough sleepers and morning surprises on Christmas Day.

A heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for making this possible—a true community effort.
