As a volunteer, we want to give you an opportunity to contribute a unique set of skills, knowledge and experience.
Volunteers in our shops perform a wide range of tasks, based on their individual skills and experience, some tasks include:
- Sorting donated clothing and homewares
- Preparing stock of sale
- Serving customers
- Displays/merchandising
- Electrical test & tagging (conditions apply)
Our volunteers are the face of our Vinnies Shops, coming across people from all walks of life on a daily basis, so a warm and welcoming personality is essential.
How often would I need to volunteer?
Majority of our Vinnies Shops are open from Monday - Sunday from 9.30 am - 5.00 pm. We have many hours where we need your help!
As part of the registrations process, some assessments are mandatory including a national criminal history check. Some roles require professional reference checking and/or a medical. Vinnies will pay for all required checks.
