2026 Vinnies CEO Sleepout
The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is a high-profile annual fundraising event held on one of the longest and coldest nights of the year. Senior business and community leaders are invited to sleep out and raise money to support our services, which assist Victorians experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty.
Our goal is to raise $1.75m and to promote the message that when it comes to poverty and homelessness we need to #See it. Solve it.
While this campaign is focused on engaging executive leaders to fundraise and advocate, it’s important to focus on what we can all do to make this event a great success. The money and awareness raised at this event is to make positive changes to the lives of Victoria’s most vulnerable people.
How you can help:
- Nominate participants: Have a think about senior executives in your immediate and extended network and invite them to participate. Often, those closest to the St Vincent de Paul Society are most inclined to lend their support. Direct them to the official ceosleepout.org.au website to register.
- Fundraise: Do you and your colleagues have an idea for a fundraiser? Fundraising initiatives within your organisation are encouraged and the proceeds can be donated to the CEO Sleepout participant to bolster their total and assists the people we assist.
- Promote your CEO's campaign: Spread the word that your CEO is participating by sharing their link via your social media networks. This helps to raise awareness as well as donations to a good cause.

Diane has spent years on the frontline as a Domestic & Family Violence Case Worker at VincentCare Victoria. In this video, she cuts through the statistics to share the reality: women and children fleeing violence often have nowhere safe to go — and without enough resources, case workers are left watching families face an impossible choice between danger and homelessness. This is why leaders across Victoria are sleeping out on 18 June at the Vinnies CEO Sleepout — raising $1.75 million to expand family and domestic violence services, including safe accommodation and wraparound support that breaks the cycle. Survival or Safety: A VincentCare Victoria Case Worker Exposes the Hidden Housing Crisis.
"Sometimes they have to choose between survival and safety — and they choose survival." Mahima is a Family Violence Case Worker at VincentCare Victoria. In this video, she shares what she sees every day: women and children who aren't sleeping on the street, but are far from safe. 60-70% of the women she supports have to return to violent relationships; not because they want to, but because there is simply nowhere else to go. One woman, pregnant with four children, had every piece of identification destroyed by her perpetrator. With limited housing options, she had no choice but to go back. Stable housing changes everything. It means safety, stability, trauma counselling and the chance to rebuild. This is why leaders across Victoria are sleeping out on 18 June at the Vinnies CEO Sleepout. To raise $1.75 million to expand family and domestic violence services and give women like her a real way out.

"Home is the most dangerous place they know" | Youth Homelessness in Victoria
For some young people, home is the most dangerous place they know. Ebony, from the Young Adults Outreach team at VincentCare Victoria, shares the story of a young woman trapped in years of violence, instability and unsafe housing and what it took to finally break the cycle. As Ebony says, "It's really hard to leave the cycle if you don't have a safe place to live." More young mums are now coming through, often with children, often escaping violence, without the supported accommodation they desperately need. The gap is real. And it's growing. That's why the Vinnies CEO Sleepout matters. On 18 June, business and community leaders will sleep out to raise funds for the housing, support and pathways that give people escaping domestic violence a real chance at safety and stability.
