Meet Rohan

If ever you find yourself in Deloraine and in need of cheering up, your first port of call should always be the Vinnies store. Standing pride of place in the middle of town, the shop is full of fantastic finds and truly terrific people! Stepping through the front door, you’ll instantly feel welcomed by the happy team of local volunteers and their amazing manager, Alison. If you’re extra fortunate, you’ll find yourself there on a Thursday morning, when Rohan (a leading inspiration for the Vinnies’ Treasures series) will be rostered on for duty!

Meet Des, a Lifetime Member of Vinnies Tasmania. This Vinnies Treasure earned the esteemed Life Membership on May 24, 2023 after marking 70 years of dedicated service. His enduring commitment goes beyond time, embodying a legacy of unwavering support for those in need. As a seasoned member, Des actively addresses immediate community needs, engaging in regular meetings with his local 'Conference' to uplift the community. His remarkable journey demonstrates the profound impact that Vinnies members can make over seven decades of selfless service.
