Vincent Industries (VI) in Wynyard is a social enterprise operated by the St Vincent de Paul Society Tasmania. Vincent Industries provides employment opportunities and skills training to people living with disability while also delivering a valuable service to the community.&nbsp;
As well as undertaking textile sorting activities, Vincent Industries produces high-quality industrial cleaning rags for a wide range of customers, including engineering, manufacturing and mechanical businesses. Profits generated by Vincent Industries are reinvested into the operation of the enterprise and support the good works of the St Vincent de Paul Society Tasmania, helping people experiencing hardship across the state.&nbsp;
Vincent Industries demonstrates how business can be a force for good, creating meaningful employment opportunities while delivering quality products and services to commercial customers. Every purchase helps support an enterprise that combines social impact with practical outcomes for individuals, businesses and the wider community.&nbsp;

The duties of volunteers could include:

<li>Helping with sorting: Volunteers can help with tasks such as sorting donated products, preparing items of value for resale in our local Vinnies Store, or for other commercial activities of the business.</li>
<li>Assisting with administrative tasks: Volunteers would add value assisting in greeting visitors, answering phones, taking customers’ rag orders, responding to emails, and filing paperwork. They may also choose to help with tasks such as data entry or record keeping.</li>
<li>Assisting with canteen coordination: The Vincent Industries Canteen is a marvellous social aspect of our workplace. Tasks can include shopping for items and preparing healthy and wholesome lunches for our employees, plus making and serving morning and afternoon tea.</li>
