St Vincent Industries (SVI) in Hobart is a social enterprise operated by the St Vincent de Paul Society Tasmania. St Vincent Industries provides employment opportunities and skills training to people living with a disability, while also providing a valuable service to the community. As well as undertaking textile sorting activities, SVI predominantly produces rags and sells them a wide range of customers including engineering, manufacturing, and mechanical businesses. SVI’s Rag Van is well known in and around Hobart; and the number one choice of many environmentally responsible and socially aware businesses that treat SVI as their preferred supplier of rags and other fabric products. All profits from SVI go towards supporting St Vincent Industries and the good works of the St Vincent de Paul Society Tasmania in the community.
