Retail Shop Manager - Hawthorn

Hawthorn Vinnies Store is seeking a passionate and skilled Retail Shop Manager who thrives in a purpose-driven retail environment. You’ll lead a dedicated team of volunteers and staff, driving growth and delivering an inspiring in-store experience for customers and the community.

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of shop operations, including team leadership, inventory management, visual merchandising, financial performance, and compliance with organisational policies. Your leadership will directly contribute to funding the Society’s vital programs supporting those experiencing disadvantage.

ERF Support Co-ordinator

The Emergency Relief Funding (ERF) Support Coordinator is responsible for coordinating emergency relief funding initiatives in line with the Department of Social Services (DSS) funding guidelines and established procedures. This role supports conferences to deliver effective ERF assistance, while assisting companions to access services, improve their financial well-being, and overcome financial challenges.

Key Responsibilities include:

Offer guidance and referral services to companions and conferences across South Australia, applying established procedures to ensure trauma-informed and effective support.

Assist with creating support resources and improving referral pathways to connect companions with internal and external services.

Ensure compliance with DSS funding requirements and maintain accurate records for reporting and accountability.

Build and maintain relationships with external community organisations and internal stakeholders to support effective referral pathways.

Assist with data collection, research, and evaluation activities to improve program outcomes.

Position description

Community Services Worker - VMCC

Make a Difference in Crisis Support:

Are you passionate about making a real impact in the lives of men experiencing homelessness and crisis? Join Vinnies SA as a Community Services Worker at the Vinnies Men’s Crisis Centre (VMCC) and play a vital role in providing compassionate, practical assistance to those in need.

 We are currently seeking a casual employee to join our team!

Position Summary:

 As a Community Services Worker at VMCC, you will deliver person-centred, trauma-informed care to men experiencing homelessness and crisis. You will support guests (companions) with daily needs, ensuring their safety, dignity, and well-being during their stay at the Centre. Your role includes assisting with intake and exit processes, offering front-line support, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised environment.

Working closely with case management teams and external agencies, you’ll help link guests to critical services such as housing support, mental health services, and other resources essential for their recovery.

Community Services Worker - VWCC

Permanent Part-Time – Multiple Positions Available

Make a meaningful impact by supporting women and children experiencing crisis. The St Vincent de Paul Society SA (Vinnies) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Community Services Workers to join the team at the Vinnies Women’s Crisis Centre.

As a Community Services Worker, you will provide frontline guest support and essential administrative services at our short-term accommodation centre for single women and women with children (and their pets) who are at risk of, or experiencing domestic and family violence and homelessness.

You will engage directly with guests, manage check-in and check-out processes, maintain accurate records, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and trauma-informed environment. In partnership with the case workers providing support to the women, and with external agencies, you will contribute to delivering comprehensive, wrap-around assistance.

This is a values-driven role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where compassion, professionalism, and teamwork are essential.
