Corporate Partnerships

How your organisation can make a real difference

More and more organisations are recognising the importance of their community obligations and how they can also benefit by investing in strong communities. If your organisation is looking to deepen its commitment to corporate social responsibility, we invite you to work with us to identify opportunities to make a difference.

The work Vinnies NSW undertakes is vital to combatting the plight of poverty and homelessness in Australia. This is not a journey we can undertake alone. With the support from the government, private and corporate sectors we can continue to make positive changes and provide Australians experiencing disadvantage with the tools and strategies they need to improve their lives in the long-term.

By partnering with us, you can support our activities across many areas of need, including: homelessness, mental illness, domestic violence, disability, refugees and asylum seekers, mental health, rehabilitation and addiction, rural assistance, and disaster relief. Because we believe in building strong links with the corporate and philanthropic sectors, we develop long-term strategic, mutually beneficial relationships. Organisations currently partnering with Vinnies include:

Make an impact

Make a corporate financial donation to the St Vincent de Paul Society to assist us in providing meaningful support for the Society’s many good works and community programs. A corporate donation is a tax deductible gift and builds the capacity of Vinnies ability to continue to develop programs that provide long term solutions and assist Vinnies to rebuild and restore the lives of Australians doing it tough.

Contact Sheree Dunn, Corporate Partnerships Manager sheree.dunn@vinnies.org.au or (02) 8622 0343 today to discuss how we can work together to help break the cycle of disadvantage for people experiencing hardship in NSW.

The Vinnies Workplace Giving program ‘Work to Give’ is a great way for your organisation to join together and make a visible social impact on the lives of Australians experiencing poverty and disadvantage. Employees make pre-tax donations without the fuss and hassle of paperwork; and employers tackle corporate social engagement head-on by entering into a relationship with one of Australia’s best-loved charities. Most importantly Vinnies receives vital funds to help us with our important work in support of thousands of Australians experiencing poverty.

Best of all, it’s simple to set up. Please contact Priscilla Leong, Senior Corporate Partnerships Coordinator, Priscilla.Leong@vinnies.org.au or (02) 8622 0320 for more information or to get your Vinnies Workplace Giving program underway.

You can also download the information pack which includes an application form to sign up your organisation today or you can leave your details below for us to contact you. Together we can continue to rebuild and restore lives.

Each year the Society holds a number of special fundraising events such as the Vinnies CEO Sleepout which attracts corporate sponsors allowing us to target the funds raised at the events to support Vinnies homeless services. A sponsorship with an event such as the Vinnies CEO Sleepout provides substantial brand leveraging and marketing association and profiles the Sponsors corporate social responsibility.

Please contact Sheree Dunn, Corporate Partnerships Manager sheree.dunn@vinnies.org.au or (02) 8622 0343 for more information.

Cause related marketing is a partnership between an organisation and non-profit organisation that sells a product or service with a portion of the sale of each product supporting the great work Vinnies provides to the community. We invite organisations to implement a cause related marketing campaign in partnership with Vinnies to support the great work Vinnies provides to the community at large. A cause related marketing campaign leverages the Vinnies brand via the marketing association to the product and aligns your product offering with one of Australia’s most respected charities.

A large portion of customers will switch their buying preference if the product donates a % of each sale to a charity. “More than three million Australians switched from their normal product or service to another brand last year because the alternative brand supported a cause or charity, according to new research.” Pro Bono Australia - April 1, 2014

Please contact Sheree Dunn, Corporate Partnerships Manager sheree.dunn@vinnies.org.au or (02) 8622 0343 for more information.

A wide range of companies are regular and valued supporters of our important fundraising activities. Companies often donate services to support our events or goods to our programs to reduce our expenditure budgets. This allow us to redirect those funds to support people experiencing poverty and homelessness.

Please contact Priscilla Leong, our Senior Corporate Partnerships Coordinator on Priscilla.Leong@vinnies.org.au or (02) 8622 0320 for more information.

Corporate partners of the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW appreciate the opportunity for their employees to participate in corporate volunteering activities that best suit their interest and objectives. Through a variety of engagement opportunities, our Corporate Partners are able to provide their employees with unique team building experiences, valuable skills transfer and the chance to make a real and positive difference to Australians experiencing poverty and disadvantage.

Corporate team members also benefit greatly from spending quality time with our clients. They often come to realise that our clients face these difficult circumstances as a result of many of the challenges they have faced during their lives such as the loss of their job, untimely death of the breadwinner, family conflict and family breakdown. These engagements build the social capital and increase our understanding of our fellow Australians.

Corporate volunteering opportunities allow employees to gain greater understanding of the types of support Vinnies provides to the community and why their employer has chosen to support Vinnies through its philanthropic giving.
