Street to Home

Street to Home supports people in Canberra who are at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness with a strong focus on both physical and mental health.

How we help

Street to Home has 6 units offering supported transitional accommodation for people experiencing homelessness.

Vinnies Canberra/Goulburn staff actively seek those ‘sleeping rough’ and engage them to build a relationship based on understanding and respect. Our staff will continue to offer support even if initially turned away. We also offer material aid assistance such as warm bedding and clothing.

Once engaged with Street to Home the person can be assisted to access other support such as, a dentist, a doctor, crisis accommodation (leading to long-term accommodation), counselling, support with Centrelink, Medicare, photo ID and much more.

Who do we support?

Anyone at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness in Canberra. If you or someone you know may need assistance, call our Emergency Relief Helpline on 13 1812.
