Far South Coast Vinnies Outreach Van

What is the Vinnies Outreach Van?

The Vinnies Outreach Van is a mobile outreach service delivering practical support, connection and hope to people experiencing hardship, homelessness, housing insecurity and social isolation across the Far South Coast of NSW. Operating throughout the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley regions, the service helps reach people who may be unable to access traditional support due to distance, transport barriers or isolation.

Travelling from Batemans Bay to Eden, the Vinnies Outreach Van provides food relief, essential items, referrals to local support services, and early intervention assistance. By taking support directly into communities, the service helps people access help sooner, strengthens local connections and ensures vulnerable community members receive the support they need, wherever they are.

It also works alongside local organisations and community partners to improve access to housing, health and wellbeing services, while providing a flexible resource that can support communities during times of emergency and disaster.

How we help

The Vinnies Outreach Van provides practical support and a friendly connection to people facing difficult circumstances across the Far South Coast. Our team can assist with:

  • Food relief and emergency supplies

  • Hygiene packs and essential everyday items

  • Information about local support services

  • Referrals to housing, health and community organisations

  • Friendly conversations and regular community outreach

  • Assistance for people affected by social isolation

  • Support during local emergencies and disaster events

By taking support directly into communities, we help people access assistance earlier and connect them with the services they need before challenges become a crisis.

Who do we support?

The Vinnies Outreach Van supports anyone across the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley regions who may be experiencing:

  • Financial hardship

  • Homelessness or rough sleeping

  • Housing insecurity or risk of homelessness

  • Social isolation and loneliness

  • Cost of living pressures

  • Family or personal crisis

  • Difficulty accessing services due to distance or lack of transport

  • Other circumstances that make daily life challenging

We welcome anyone who may need support, information or a connection to local services. Our aim is to provide a welcoming, respectful and non-judgemental service that helps people feel supported, connected and valued within their community.
