Empowering Women – Return to Work Pathways Program

Our new Women’s Return to Work Pathways program is delivered in partnership with the St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn and is funded by the NSW Government through Women NSW. The program includes workshops and individual mentoring sessions to support women living on the NSW far South Coast, as well as the Goulburn and Young regions, to return to work.

2023 Program

The 2023 program is available to women living on the NSW far South Coast and includes a series of three workshops in each location, focused on:

  • Identifying goals and time management skills
  • Applying for jobs
  • Drafting resumes and cover letters
  • Preparing for job interviews
  • Personal presentation for the workplace
  • Guest speakers: mindfulness and managing stress.

When & Where

From 10am to 2pm at:

  • Bay Pavilions, 12 Vesper Street, Batemans Bay on Thursdays: 10, 17 and 24 August 2023
  • Bega Regional Learning Centre, 14 Cabarita Place, Merimbula on Thursdays: 19 & 26 October and 2 November 2023.

Following the workshops, women will attend individual mentoring sessions with our qualified mentors to discuss their goals, training and career options, applying for jobs and volunteer/work experience opportunities.

The program is free to women living on the NSW far South Coast.

The 2024 program is available to women living in the Goulburn and Young regions and includes a series of three workshops in each location.

The dates for workshops in these locations will be available in early February 2024.
