Clemente Education Program

The Clemente Program supports people who have experienced setbacks in their education by providing free-of-charge classes, helping them re-engage with their community.

How we help

Clemente gives students a 'hand up' to reach their education goals. Our small classes are gentle, supported spaces with volunteer mentors available to give feedback and assist teachers.

Students who study with Clemente improve their writing skills to be able to attend further education or obtain work.

Who do we support?

Clemente supports all genders, migrants and refugees, Aboriginal and Torre Strait Islander students and people with disabilities.

To join the Clemente Education Program, you must meet the following:

  • Be over 18
  • Commit to attendance and participation over the 12-week semester
  • Have literacy/writing skills to meet program entry level standards

The Facts (this year)

  • We have assisted 17 students to enroll in pathways

“Awesome content, loved that it was free (wouldn't have attended otherwise), loved the teacher's knowledge and think I was at a place where I was ready for this.”

Clemente welcomes referrals of students. After some particularly hard years of learning during COVID-19, Clemente is working towards helping young people aged 18 - 30 to prepare for university or technical study. We are always looking for new students and tutors.
