EcoFry has announced a new partnership with the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW to support the Vinnies Used Cooking Oil Recycling Program, giving hospitality venues a simple, responsible way to manage waste oil while generating funds for people experiencing hardship across NSW.

The partnership brings together EcoFry's operational expertise in used cooking oil recovery and Vinnies' established community program, ensuring waste oil from commercial kitchens is safely collected, recycled and repurposed into renewable products such as biofuels.

"Used cooking oil is something every commercial kitchen has to manage, and the Vinnies Used Cooking Oil Recycling Program provides a simple way to do it responsibly," said Phil Coyte, Executive Director of Commercial Enterprise, Retail and Fundraising at St Vincent de Paul Society NSW.

"By partnering with EcoFry, we're making it easy for venues to recycle their oil while generating funds that support Vinnies' work helping people experiencing hardship across NSW."

"Used cooking oil is an everyday by-product of commercial kitchens, but when managed correctly, it becomes a valuable resource," said Blair Kerr, Managing Director of EcoFry.

"Through this partnership, we're helping hospitality venues handle their waste oil safely and responsibly, while contributing to a circular economy solution that transforms it into renewable fuels. We're proud to support a program that delivers both environmental and community outcomes."

Through the partnership, EcoFry supplies fit-for-purpose storage equipment, manages compliant collections and ensures all recovered oil is processed responsibly - giving it a second life as renewable fuel rather than sending it to landfill or waterways.

The program also helps hospitality venues simplify compliance and reduce the operational risks associated with improper oil disposal. EcoFry operates under strict environmental and safety standards, supporting hundreds of businesses across NSW with reliable, transparent oil recycling services.

Together, EcoFry and Vinnies are demonstrating how everyday operational waste can be redirected into meaningful environmental and social outcomes.
