Retail Volunteering

Become a Retail Volunteer

Our retail volunteers make a huge difference for people in need, helping to raise over a third of the income that supports our homelessness and community programs across NSW. They also help the planet by giving pre-loved goods a second life and keeping millions of items out of landfill each year.

We’re always looking for more passionate people to join our community of over 5,000 retail volunteers.

As a Vinnies retail volunteer, you’ll be part of a team helping your local community in practical, hands-on ways. You might be welcoming customers on the shop floor, sorting donations, preparing stock, assisting in our warehouses, or packing online orders for our growing Vinnies Finds eCommerce team. You choose the type of work that suits you, and every role has real impact.

Volunteering is also a great way to build confidence, stay active in the job market, and add practical retail experience to your resume. No previous experience is required. We value friendly, reliable people who want to make a difference.

Students aged 16 and over are welcome to volunteer in our shops, with Duke of Edinburgh students able to start from age 14.

Get involved, meet like-minded people, and help make a lasting difference for your community and the planet.

Register now to join our Vinnies Shops or Vinnies Finds team.
