Vinnies School Sleepout
A Vinnies School Sleepout aims to shine a spotlight on the issue of homelessness by bringing together school groups to experience a glimpse of “sleeping rough” for one night whilst raising crucial funds and awareness for vital Vinnies Services and Programs.
What is a Vinnies School Sleepout?
A Vinnies School Sleepout allows students and school communities to take part in an experiential event where participants are given nothing more than a piece of cardboard, a cup of soup and bread for dinner and will brave the cold for one night whilst learning about some of the harsh realities faced by those experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.
It encourages students to gain a deeper understanding of homelessness whilst raising funds and awareness for Vinnies Homeless Services and Programs in the local area.
