North Coast Settlement Service

The North Coast Settlement Service provides a broad range of settlement services to humanitarian entrants and other vulnerable migrants on the NSW North Coast. Our offices are in Coffs Harbour on the Mid-North Coast and Tweed Heads in the Northern Rivers, and we provide outreach and phone/online servicing to the areas between.

Clients are assessed by our experienced team, then supported through culturally appropriate case work, advocacy, referrals, and group sessions that meet their settlement goals and needs. With a focus on rights and responsibilities, we assist clients to build their economic and personal well-being, independence, and community connectedness through learning English, participating in education and training, and becoming employment ready. We also provide practical information and assistance on issues like housing, accessing health services, transport, legal systems, and how to be prepared / what to do in an emergency.

NCSS is funded by the Department of Social Services under the Department of Home Affairs’ Settlement Engagement & Transition Support (SETS) Program.

The North Coast Settlement Service is open 10am – 4pm Monday to Thursday.
