About us

Frederic House is an aged care service providing a long-term home for approximately 60 men around inner Sydney. The residents are mainly older men, who are experiencing homelessness, relying on low pensions and are unable to live independently due to their medical and support needs. We are open all year round. Frederic House receives funding from the Department of Health and Ageing and NSW Health, with a dedicated team including six registered nurses.

Who we help

Frederic House caters for men with high medical support needs, based on specific assessments to determine a match between a person’s requirements and our facility. Men are referred to the service predominately from hostels and temporary accommodation and hospitals. Our service requires a payment that is a proportion of the pension. We hope to provide support for men who would not otherwise be able to access care.
