Vinnies is putting out the challenge for business and community leaders to make a difference on 23 June by signing up for the 2022 Vinnies CEO Sleepout.
Now in its 17th year, the Vinnies CEO Sleepout provides leaders with an opportunity to connect in-person with fellow leaders committed to making a difference in their communities
The night also plays a vital role in raising key funds to support Vinnies services and programs, assisting people in need of shelter, fleeing domestic and family violence, seeking medical treatment and much more.

<h3>Connect with your peers</h3>
 The Vinnies CEO Sleepout regularly brings together more than 1,000 business and community leaders from various industries and walks of life for a night with a proven record of making an impact.
With COVID-19 leading to a rise in virtual meetings and business moving from the workplace to the home office, the Vinnies CEO Sleepout is a unique opportunity to meet and connect in-person with colleagues sharing similar values.
As you spend time getting to know new faces and reacquaint with familiar ones, take the opportunity to learn more about the services provided by Vinnies and how you and your peers can continue to make a difference beyond the night.
<h3>Be seen as an example of action</h3>
 Businesses and the corporate sector wield significant influence throughout society and as such have a social responsibility to give back to their communities.
By taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, participants can be seen as drivers of change and grow as leaders within their industries and wider society.
For Warren Bingham, founder and executive chairman of MedTech, the experience of sleeping out has amplified his gratitude and empathy in his professional career.
“It grounded me in the reminder that a homeless person isn't homeless by choice, but more by circumstance. Empathy in leadership isn't something you learn at University or school, so this event plays a vital role in that respect.”
<h3>Challenge colleagues in fundraising</h3>
 Every dollar raised from the Vinnies CEO Sleepout goes towards assisting people in need.
To make the greatest impact possible, consider joining forces with fellow participants from within your organisation or industry as part of a team in order to reach, and hopefully surpass, your fundraising goal.
Reaching out to your professional networks and providing regular updates are great ways to raise awareness and funds, much like Matt Hughes, Ripen CEO, did last year.
“Business leader or not, I believe it's everyone's duty to help lift others up, but especially if you are in a position of power or privilege. Without Vinnies and the incredible work they do, thousands of people would not be getting support, food [or] shelter.”
