The St Vincent de Paul Society NSW recommends that the NSW Government provide for the following measures and policy initiatives in the 2023-24 budget.


NSW 2023-24 Pre Budget Submission

The Society’s Pre Budget Submission, ‘A Fairer NSW’, sets out recommendations across seven key areas that could make a real difference to the lives of people doing it tough in the community.

<li>Affordable, healthy and accessible homes</li>
<li>A fair go for renters</li>
<li>Support for people experiencing homelessness</li>
<li>Address the energy affordability crisis</li>
<li>Transport affordability and access</li>
<li>Education and digital inclusion</li>
<li>Consistent and evidence-based indexation for service delivery funding</li>
</ol>
