Vinnies Used Cooking Oil Recycling (VUCOR)

Designed to reduce environmental footprints and drive positive social impact, the new VUCOR (Vinnies Used Cooking Oil Recycling) scheme offers hospitality venues competitive rebates for their waste oil collection.

Vinnies have partnered with long-standing oil recycling provider Scanline to ensure venues signing up to the scheme are getting reputable and professional services with EPA accreditation.

A FOUR-WAY POSITIVE PARTNERSHIP

Venues

Gain a professional oil collection service, free quality equipment and still receive their full normal cash rebate per litre.

Vinnies

Gain an ongoing additional cash rebate from Scanline on every litre flowing through the scheme. Paid by Scanline, not the venue.

Scanline

Gain new customers, commit to a socially responsible project & increase the volume of oil they collect and recycle.

Environment

All oil collected is recycled locally in NSW into either biodiesel or animal feed, and not exported like most used cooking oil.

ABOUT OUR PARTNER

Scanline

Scanline's stellar reputation for efficiency in kitchen operations has serviced major restaurant groups, leisure venues and independent restaurants since 1969. Scanline will supply top quality tanks and equipment free of charge to venues signing up through VUCOR and can tailor a collection schedule that meets the custom needs of each kitchen.

Scanline contributes a charitable rebate to Vinnies for every litre of oil that is collected through the program. This charitable rebate comes out of Scanline’s own operating profits and does not affect the rebates that are paid out to venues for used cooking oil collections. The total volume of UCO collected is reported to both the venue and the Society.

EPA - VUCO

Switching from another service provider to the VUCOR scheme has the added benefit of funding the work of St Vincent de Paul Society NSW. Venues who sign up will be supporting Vinnies’ vital work in the community as Scanline contributes a charitable rebate to Vinnies for every litre of oil that is collected through the program.

Funds raised through the VUCOR charitable rebate will be reinvested into the community through a range of programs and services run by St Vincent de Paul Society NSW. For example, the proceeds might provide accommodation for someone who is experiencing homelessness, or feed a family who are struggling to make ends meet in the current cost-of-living crisis. By making the switch to VUCOR, you can feel good knowing that your venue’s used cooking oil collection is helping assist people in need.
