Vinnies CEO Sleepout
19/04/2022 09:00 AM

The Vinnies CEO Sleepout has been making a difference every year since 2006 to thousands of lives in need of a hand up across Australia.

As the event heads into its 17th year, Vinnies is urging business and community leaders to rise to the challenge in an effort to put an end to homelessness and support Vinnies services.

Each participant can be a catalyst for change and collectively we can achieve so much more – secure your place on 23 June by signing up today as an individual or as part of a team at www.ceosleepout.org.au.

Where the funds go

Vinnies is able to support thousands of people experiencing or at risk of hardship and disadvantage each year thanks to the donations provided through the Vinnies CEO Sleepout.

As part of the journey of taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, you’ll learn all about the diverse services operated by Vinnies, ranging from crisis accommodation for rough sleepers, food vans servicing the communities each week, and programs delivering life skills for people on the margins of society.

You can find a full breakdown of how the funds raised from last year’s Vinnies CEO Sleepout were used here.

Share the knowledge

Sharing your Vinnies CEO Sleepout experience with staff, family and fellow business leaders is a great way to expand the conversation around homelessness and live out your values as a social leader.

One such way to go beyond the night is following the example of Vinnies CEO Sleepout ambassador Warren Bingham, who spoke with his staff about the experience and ways to give back to the community on a regular basis.

“Year after year, the team increased their engagement and interest in supporting the homeless. One year, we did a clothing collection and delivered more than a dozen boxes of high-quality clothes to Vinnies and other organisations”.

The demand for assistance

In the past year Vinnies NSW has been able to restore hope and stability to thousands of lives thanks to the generosity and compassion of Vinnies CEO Sleepout participants.

Every dollar donated has the ability to change lives, just like the:

2,415 women experiencing domestic and family violence who were supported with crisis accommodation and outreach case management.

1,200 people supported to secure permanent accommodation and 2,700 people assisted to maintain their tenancy

750 residents who have the safety, security and stability of a place to call home at our social and affordable housing sites located across the state.
