Students are Warilla High are putting their eligible recycling to great use. Since partnering with Vinnies Return and Earn, the school have become nearly all powered through solar energy, raising funds through the scheme to purchase more panels for the roof.
This Student Council initiative is a fantastic way to increase sustainability and teach growing young adults to value our environment. We can’t wait to see what creative solutions they are able to bring on through future returns.
So far the Return and Earn scheme has collectively saved 5 billion containers from landfill, that’s over 460,000 tonnes of material that’s been recycled.
