NEW VINNIES SHOP OPENS IN FERNTREE GULLY!

We know it's been a tough year for many Victorians, but even that didn't dampen the enthusiasm of our Vinnies team or the very welcome op-shoppers who came to check out the new location. You can find us at 7/1821 Ferntree Gully Road, Ferntree Gully.

Victoria’s health and safety is of utmost importance right now, so we took every precaution adhering to the current recommendations of social distancing and plenty of the essentials available including hand sanitiser, toilet paper, tissues and paper towel.

The new shop is larger and packed full of great bargains including a good range of clothing, furniture and homewares.

CELEBRATING MARG'S 20 YEARS | VINNIES CASTERTON

For 20 years Marg Richardson has been Vinnies Casterton's volunteer shop manager.

Marg’s dedication to the smooth running of the shop was recently recognised by her colleagues with a small celebration and presentation, acknowledging her commitment.

Pictured with Marg are Conference President, Gill Elijah and welfare members, Cecily Condon and Frank McInerney who have been great supports for Marg.

Although Marg will be stepping down as shop manager she will continue to work as a volunteer, ensuring that any Vinnies Casterton shoppers are warmly greeted and that the shop provides a comfortable meeting place for the many people in the local community.

  

KNITTERS OF LANGWARRIN

Please say hello to Langwarrin and talented knitters: Nancy, Vi and Barbara who donate their time and talents to create beautiful items.
For several years now, this wonderful, indefatigable, young-at-heart trio (both Nancy and Vi are over 90) have supplied the conference with beanies, scarves, blankets, rugs and much, much more for distribution to people visited in the local area.

It doesn't stop there. When the conference accumulates more than they can use, the knitted items are shared with John Paul College's Community Companion Soup Van; Vinnies Frankston and also Community Support Centre in Frankston.

We sincerely thank Nancy, Vi and Barbara for their continued support and wonderful knitting.
