2019 Ozanam Conversation

The Ozanam Conversation (formally the Ozanam Lecture) is a free annual event in honour of the 20-year-old activist and founder of the St Vincent de Paul Society, Blessed Frederic Ozanam. Now in its 22nd year, it invites Catholics to reflect upon how relevant the Society’s founding mission of care and compassion is to today’s world.

This year, renowned journalist and broadcaster Geraldine Doogue AO and Francis Sullivan, until recently, Truth, Justice and Healing Council CEO, discussed the topic, “Standing Up: Reclaiming lay leadership in the Catholic sector”.

This event was held on Wednesday 24 June 2019 at the Catholic Leadership Centre, East Melbourne.
