East Warrnambool Education Program

East Warrnambool Education Program

The East Warrnambool Education Program commenced in Term 2, 2021 and has a focus on reading and numeracy.

It supports approximately 20 primary school-aged students with a dedicated team of 10 volunteers, 3pm-5pm. The program runs each Tuesday from Student 3.30pm-4.45 pm during the Victorian school term.

The program assists students with literacy and numeracy, as well as general social, emotional and academic support. This holistic approach helps to improve overall educational outcomes. Our paid coordinator and trained volunteers provide a friendly learning environment.

The education program team aims to improve the learning skills and attitudes of students, increase confidence when interacting with adult volunteers and peers, encourage collaboration, promote social inclusion, develop a growth mindset and showcase best learning practices.
