Vinnies is pleased to announce that respected TV news presenter, radio host and author, Tracy Vo, is lending her influence and support to the St Vincent de Paul Society taking on an ambassador role.
Vinnies’ Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator Stephanie Rullo said we are so pleased to have Tracy as our ambassador, as she is well-respected in the WA community, and her passion and energy will be very valuable.
“Tracy has been a great supporter of Vinnies for a few years now and we are incredibly grateful that she is prepared to help promote and support the important work that we do,” Stephanie said.
“Tracy’s first official event will be the Annual Vinnies Street Appeal on 8 September based in the Perth CBD and other select locations across Perth.”
Tracy said she was honoured to be asked to be an ambassador for Vinnies, having seen what Vinnies has done first hand and the real difference it makes to people’s lives.
“The work that Vinnies does in the areas of homelessness, youth homelessness, mental health, emergency relief and more, fills an important role in helping people who would likely otherwise be forgotten,” Tracy said.
“Sadly, there are far too many people needing assistance so I will find it fulfilling to be involved and help raise funds and awareness starting with the Annual Street Appeal.
“I encourage anyone who sees someone collecting on the day to give a donation – every little bit helps!” Tracy said.
Tracy has been part of the Channel 9 news team since 2007, currently as the host of nine’s Today breakfast show.
